Program
Day 1 Arrival in Pisa
Your Vespa will be waiting for you in the heart of Pisa. Pick up the habits of the local Vespa drivers and park right at the bottom of all of the nice monuments to be visited. The Piazza Del Duomo with its world famous leaning tower, the Arno quay, the Piazza Dei Cavalieri... Pisa is a lively student city. Night in a youth hostel in the centre of town.

Day 2 On your way to Lucca
You will head towards Monte Pisano culminating over 900m of altitude. The road crossing this Col is beautiful, a real pleasure on your Vespa. A picnic overlooking the scenic panorama will be very welcome. You often can see the sea and a few Tuscan islands in clear weather. You will later reach Lucca, an ancient city with fortified walls. Enjoy the local gastronomy and wine on one of the numerous town's terraces.

Day 3 Take a dive!
A few kilometres and you are out of town exploring beautiful country roads. Between vineyards and olive groves you will head towards the seaside and a nice coastal town famous for its carnival and lively evening atmosphere. Night in a youth hostel overlooking the coast.
Cap Corse

Day 4 Sea or mountains?
You are in the Apennine mountains, but at the same time with your feet in the sea!

The choice is yours: a little hike or some relaxing time on the beach.. or both?! This is a day to do what you want, but don't forget to discover the local gastronomy at your accommodation... Night in the youth hostel.

Day 5 Towards the North
Let's follow the coast northwards, along a little mountain road, crossing pine and chestnut forests. Potter through little villages with panoramic views. Pass by marble extraction sites before driving around mount Altissimo and mount Corchia before idling your way back down to the sea. Night in a youth hostel.

Day 6 Lerici and the Poets' Gulf
Put on your helmet and sunglasses and then here you are, heading to Lerici. This little town in the Poets' Gulf has an entirely different aspect. You are then very close to the Riviera. Local gastronomy is amazing with the "datteri di mare" or "soup of the spaghetti" in typical Lerici fashion. Night in youth hostel on the coast.

Day 7 Last swim
Dawdle along back to Pisa, enjoying the views and taking in the Tuscan sunshine. This is your last day but not a reason to feel sad! The road follows the sea so keep your swimming costume handy and just take the time to enjoy everything as much as you can. Eventully, head back to the Vespa rental place, kiss good bye to your beautiful machine and that's where it ends... Ciao....
