Piatra Craiului and Bucegi are the most popular and the most appreciated mountains in Romania. Come to discover the unbelievable variety of the flora and the fauna in the National park of Piatra Craiului, the great pastures and the spectacular landscapes. You will also visit perched sheepfolds in High Mountain and medieval fortresses.

Program
Day 1 Reception in Bucharest.
Beginning of the journey in Bucharest. Arrival before 2:00 pm. Reception at the airport if you arrive by plane and transfer by public transportation to the station. Reception at the station or at your hotel if you are already in the area. Train or bus to Zarnesti (with a change in Brasov)

Day 2 Zarnesti’s Gorges.
Contemplative hike in the Piatra Craiului’s mountains through the Zarnesti’s Gorges. Approximately 4 hours, 13km, +800m, -300m.

Day 3 Scattered villages.
Trek in the National park of Piatra Craiului through pastures, sheepfolds, woods and scattered villages. ~4h, 13km, +300m, -250m.

Day 4 From Piatra Craiului to Bucegi.
Leave the Piatra Craiului’s mountains to arrive at the feet of the Bucegi’s mountains. The end of day takes place in a village renowned for its smoked cheese. ~6h, 18km, -150m, +250m.

Day 5 High mountain pastures and forests.
Trek towards the Bucegi's massif. A long hike which you will not regret: magnificent landscapes and sights on the Piatra Craiului’s crest. ~6h, 18km, +650m, -900m.

Day 6 Meadow of Gutana.
Continue to hike in the Bucegi's mountains. A trek along the meadow of Gutana and the vertical walls of the Bucegi’s crest. Take time and enjoy these landscapes. ~6h, 18km, +700m, -900m.

Day 7 Castle of Bran.
Last day in the region of Bran. Possibility of visiting the Bran's fortress, long time knew as the Dracula’s Castle. You can also visit the Rasnov's castle or just stroll in the streets.

Day 8 End of the journey.
Transportation by bus to Brasov and by train to Bucharest. End of the journey.
