| You will take advantage of what a lot consider as the most beautiful refuge of the Corsican Mountain, a warm welcome, excellent meals and an exceptional environment. The refuge has access to a natural swimming pool for the pleasure of all and beautiful rivers in the surroundings that allow some grilling of freshly fished trout come evening. |
Day 1 From Corte to the refugio via the Arch of Corte
From Corte, you will walk up high above the ancient corsican capital. You will reach the famous Arch of Corte and then from shepherd house to shepherd house, you will walk under pine trees to finally end in your home for 6 days. By the Tavignano river, you will enjoy the quietness of this wonderful place in the heart of Corsica.
Dinner and night in the refugio.

Day 2 Alzu Plateau
A very nice hike starting with a climb under Lariccio pine trees to the ALzu plateau. Exceptional panorama on the mountains. If you are lucky, Jean-Marc will show you how to make the local cheese and he might sell you one of the best cheese in the area.

Day 3 Sheepfolds and Granite Slabs
This time, you will leave in the Valley of Binodello and its former pastures and abandoned sheepfolds. There you will see former cheese caves. Your trip will take you on wide slabs of granite in crests then you descend towards a charming stream proper for swimming.

Day 4 Lake and lost valley
Here you will leave for the discovery of a very beautiful lake situated at more than 1740M of altitude. Natural swimming pools and cascades are on the program. You will pass in a valley not very frequented, for the paths are not indicated on the maps. An extension to the Lake of Nino, can be arranged. Numerous possibilities of swimming. Day 5 Wild Forests and Natural Springs
Your will walk to the heart of a little known forest that has kept its authenticity. You will discover the ruins of a very ancient chapel and picnic at the Argeto Fountain where you will be able to fill up your canteen. The viewpoints are splendid on the surrounding granite summits. Many possibilities of swimming on the journey.

Day 6 Retour sur Corte en passant par le Tavignano
Today, you will walk to Corte. You will follow the Tavignano in its beautiful valley. You can enjoy a bath in the river before hiking down to the ancient capital of Corsica.
