| Parkinson fundraising organization | As an example of our activities, EUROPE ACTIVE took part in the organization in June 2006 of a fundraising event for PARKINSON'S DISEASE SOCIETY.
"The Parkinson's Disease Society would like to thank everyone who has taken part in this year's Corsica Coastal Trek.
On Thursday 15 June, 21 supporters set off to trek the coastline of the beautiful 'scented island' of Corsica. The expedition, which took three days to complete, took the trekkers through the Forest National Park, the foothills of the Capo d'Orto and along the coastlines narrow paths off the Gulf of Porto.
The trekkers experienced the stunning scenery of 'The Calanques', bizarre red rock formations and fragrances such as thyme, myret, lavender and poppies whilst walking in 30-degree heat. They hope to raise £30,000 toward our research projects." |
